Nicola Meeks

About:

Born in England and raised in Wales, my roots, – familial and artistic – run deep in this “precious stone set in the silver sea.”  As a child I regularly visited the remnants of Roman settlements, medieval castles and monasteries.  In my work I try to capture the mystery and wonder of the past.

I work in two styles: graphite and charcoal, and acrylic mixed media.

In 1989 I immigrated to the United States and raised my family in the Black Hills where I continue to reside and work as a full time artist.
