Mary B Hunt
About:
A native of northwestern Minnesota, Mary B. Hunt now resides in the scenic panhandle of western Nebraska by way of Colorado’s Front Range. After twenty five years of painting, she still finds it exciting to get started each day. With a lifelong love of birds and animals it is easy to see how her paintings have evolved over the years and an introduction to native art at an early age has been a strong influence as well.
With training as a commercial artist Hunt finds strong design and attention to detail are important aspects of her work and while there are many technical aspects of painting one of the most appealing and necessary things is spirit. Hunt believes it is the soul of each painting that makes it accessible and makes the connection with the viewer.
Hunt is represented by Prairie Edge, Rapid City, South Dakota; Little Bird at Loretto, Santa Fe, New Mexico and Wyoming Trails Art Gallery, Wheatland, Wyoming.
