I have a series of work that utilizes glass trade beads as metaphor for human interaction. Artifacts once exchanged between one culture and another have built the foundation of modern society. As in days past, human discourse is continuously achieved through objects that are consumed as well as through objects that are relatively permanent. This painting is a very large and intricate watercolor painting on Ampersand Claybord depicting trade beads reemerging from the past.
