When I began this painting, snow was on the ground and I was longing for warmth and outdoor living. July is Summer at it’s best here in the Hills…complete with many lovely wildflowers, sometimes so thick that the air is sweet with their fragrance. I was drawn to this image of a blooming meadow partly because of the light through the forest, strong blues of the distant mountains…and the warmth of a sun bathed flowery meadow of course!
